Book Club is an alternative folk band based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, with songs and sounds that fit nicely between your Leonard Cohen & Pavement LPs. Founding frontman, guitarist, singer and songwriter Robbie Horlick’s lyrics and laidback voice, emotive and winsome at once, and crisp and intense the next, alternately evoke a shimmery pastoral beauty and deep shades of despondent darkness and curious observation. The band’s new EP, Between the Blue Sky, released in July 2024, is fresh and energetic, comfortably and confidently showing us the next level of Book Club’s writing, sound, and performance.
